One Man Slams District School Board For Teaching CRT To Children

One courageous parent in Illinois received a standing ovation and nationwide recognition after bravely speaking out against his local district school board for implementing Critical Race Theory (CRT) into young students’ curriculum in schools.

Ty Smith, (aka Modern Renaissance Man ) from “Cancel This” on Cities 92.9, has gained a lot of support from other parents throughout the country after accusing members of the district school board of negatively influencing their children’s perceptions of people based on race rather than character – the polar opposite of MLK’s teachings.

Smith shared a passionate story about his childhood experience in school and how infuriating he felt when he and other kids on public assistance were forced to go last to receive lunch during grade school. Although he was just a third-grader, Smith explained that he developed feelings of resentment and hate towards his friends and would have stopped talking to them.

Like several other outspoken parents in America, Smith believes that teaching CRT negatively affects children and is a false narrative. “I’m mad at them for something that wasn’t even their fault… they weren’t looking down on me,” Smith explained. “They didn’t think they were better than me. I’m the one that came up with those false perceptions of what my friends were. Not them,” he said, pointing out the divisive nature of CRT. “Critical Race Theory is pretty much going to be teaching kids to hate each other, how to dislike each other.”

Smith pointed out that black men and women like himself destroy the false narrative that blacks in America are and will continuously be oppressed for something that happened many years before they were even born!

“You’re going to deliberately teach kids, ‘this white kid right here got it better than you because he’s white’? You’re going to purposely tell a white kid that black people are all down and oppressed? How do I have two medical degrees if I’m sitting here oppressed?” Smith said to loud cheers from fellow angered parents.

“No mom, no dad in the house. Worked my way through college, sat there and hustled my butt off to get through college. You gonna tell me somebody that looked like y’all white folks kept me from doing that? Are you serious? Not one white person ever came to me and said ‘well, son, you know you’ll never be able to get anywhere because the black people'”, Smith said.

Smith continued his powerful speech by explaining that one of the key issues within the black community is that we are far more focused on what we can’t do instead of what we can do. CRT illustrates the fear and anger several black Americans felt throughout much of the early ages in America instead of teaching about the opportunities and progression we have available today.

“Well how did I get where I am right now if some white man kept me down? How am I now directing over folks that look just like you guys in this room right now. How? What kept me down? What oppressed me? I worked myself off the streets to where I am right now and you’re going to sit here and tell me this lie of Critical Race Theory? That this is the reason black folks can’t get ahead, because of white folks? Are you kidding me? I can’t believe we’re even talking about this.”

“When February comes around, don’t talk about Martin Luther King. Don’t talk about Black History Month if you’re pretty much going to pee on his grave with this nonsense.”

What Smith said about CRT at his local district board meeting has gone viral, and it has done so entirely because of the rising numbers of black men, like myself, and other strong Americans who resonate with his message. Smith is well-deserving of their praise after standing up to the woke culture and getting his message heard!
