Israel is experiencing a harrowing ordeal as rockets fired from Gaza by the terrorist group, Hamas, wreak havoc in the country. “A synagogue has reportedly been torched in Lod, as police again fail to contain raging riots in the central Israel city. More people — Jews, Arabs, and police officers — have been injured in widespread clashes in the city and other Jewish-Arab cities,” reports the Times of Israel.

The constant attack by the Palestinian terrorist group against Israel this week forced Biden to crawl out of his basement to make a public comment.
The White House announced yesterday that Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing support for the country. Later that day, while addressing the press, Biden said, “Israel has a right to defend itself when you have thousands of rockets flying into your territory.”
Government officials spoke exclusively with the Free Beacon concerning the crisis in Israel. Mike Pompeo, Trump’s former Secretary of State, said, “Hamas knew that we would always support Israel’s right to defend itself and that no amount of globalist silly leftist pressure would cause us to join in the Palestinian Authority’s support of terror.”
“And we certainly weren’t going to have U.S. taxpayers underwrite PA leaders who refused to oppose the use of violence. Now, attacks may be rewarded by the United States blaming Israel. In short,” Pompeo says, “deterrence and supporting your allies work to keep peace.”
Sen. Ted Cruz said, “The world had moved on from Palestinian rejectionism, the Iranian regime was on the brink of financial collapse, and the Houthis [in Yemen] were designated, terrorists.”
Senator Cruz claimed Biden “rushed to reverse and undo those gains, and unfortunately, they have broadly succeeded. The wave of violent Iran-backed terrorism that our Israeli allies are facing is a direct result of these anti-Israel, pro-Iran policies.”
He called the Biden Administration’s handling of the Middle East in its first 100 “disgraceful.” He said, “this administration continues to equivocate morally and diplomatically between our Israeli allies and terrorists. Sen. Cruz added that it also serves to “single Israel out for blame.”

Other elected officials weren’t so kind to Israel’s attempts to defend itself from Hamas terrorist attacks.
Ilhan Omar tweeted, “Israeli airstrikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection.”
After Biden’s phone call with Netanyahu, Omar tweeted, “You aren’t prioritizing human rights. You’re siding with an oppressive occupation.”
Conservative talk radio host, Jason Rantz, pushed back against Ilhan Omar’s anti-Israel comments tweeting, “Ilhan Omar is a vile anti-Semite who will happily spread vicious propaganda to demonize Jews and Israel.”
“She will always side with terrorists who want to wipe Israel off the map. And the Democrat party, while pretending to be a friend of Israel and Jews, will always back her,” he said.
The American Jewish Committee also denounced Ilhan Omar, tweeting, “Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is denying the well-documented fact that Hamas, the U.S. – designated terrorist organization controlling Gaza, uses Palestinian civilians as human shields.”
