Artist Unironically Selling ‘Eat the Rich’ Popsicles for $10

The same art collective that made the controversial satanic sneakers for the rapper, Lil Nas X is now selling Eat the Rich popsicles. The popsicles are being sold at pop-up ice cream trucks in Los Angeles, California, and New York City, New York.

The “Eat the rich” slogan is a moniker used by socialists wishing to dismantle capitalism. The popsicles come in 5 designs portraying some of the world’s richest men. The men include Bill Gates of Microsoft, Elon Musk of Tesla, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, and Jack Ma of Alibaba.

Each popsicle is sold for a whopping $10 which led critics to call out the brand’s inconsistent messaging. One Twitter user wrote, “A ice cream truck selling ‘eat the rich’ popsicles for $10 to influencers to post on Instagram so they can sell ads is ironically peak capitalism.” Another user wrote, “You know capitalism has won forever when an enterprising small businessman is selling ludicrously overpriced popsicles so hipsters can literally eat the rich.”
