A new video circulating the internet has parents fuming.
The video shows a teacher talking about a “transition closet,” where transgender students can secretly choose clothes that align with their gender identity and change back at the end of the day. Their parents are none the wiser.

The teacher has been identified as Tommy Martin Edwards. He allegedly works at Fremont High School, part of the Oakland Unified School District in California, according to The Transition Closet’s Facebook page.

Edwards also has a TikTok account under the screen name @justaqueerteacher where he first posted the now viral video. It has since been deleted.
He is the same teacher that regularly shows up to work in high heels and “bragged about drag and makeup.”

He explains that students wear their “parent approved” clothing to school; however, not everyone feels “freedom” to wear what they truly want.
Enter the “transition closet.”
He said:
“The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are.”
In the video, the teacher likens the clothing change to that of the fictional character Clark Kent changing into Superman.
He propositions:
“Superman isn’t Clark Kent, Clark Kent is actually the disguise and when he goes into the phone booth, he transforms into Superman, who’s really just who he truly is. And so this gives our trans students the opportunity to be the superheroes we know they are.”
He implies that children aren’t allowed to be who they are so they wear a disguise to fool their parents.
He and many teachers fail to see how these actions villainize parents and groom children to distrust them, just like a sexual predator would.
Simple rule: If you do something (anything) with a minor child behind the parents' backs, you are the bad guy.
