Berzerkely Law Prof Wants Americans to Believe She’s the Sane One

Another sign that American public education is in trouble is when the media describes a UC Berkeley law professor with lunatic leftist ideas as “schooling” a U.S. senator.

The lesson in lunacy came from Prof. Khiara Bridges in an exchange with Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), “clashing over whether men can get pregnant…,” during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing about abortion law.

Their exchange prompted FOX News to report on the testimony according to the equally whacky way leftist media covered it, as the “schooling” of Sen. Hawley. FOX cited from such reliably leftist publications as Vox, Salon, and HuffPo.

The prof said Hawley’s asking questions (of a university professor) about her views, makes him “transphobic” and guilty of subjecting people to “violence.”

In her view, no one can ask her why she believes men can get pregnant?

People born male but who truly feel female and want to live as a woman, fine. Peaceful Americans should be free to live as they choose. But that freedom ends where leftists attempt to force others to believe it—without question.

Prof. Bridges descended into Bizarro World when she referred “several times” to “people with a capacity for pregnancy….”

Hawley asked if she meant “women?”

The prof explained “trans men and non-binary people” were also capable of pregnancy, leading Hawley to question whether abortion remained a “women’s rights issue.”

This is reminiscent of a poor person with a capacity for pregnancy who lives in a cardboard box under a bridge and truly believes she’s the Queen of France.

Hawley asked, according to the New York Post, “is this how you run your classroom? Are students allowed to question you?”

Again, rather than answer directly, the prof quipped, “We have a good time in my class. You should join.”

Hawley admitted he’d “learned a lot,” saying her testimony was “extraordinary.”

This exchange best illuminates the bizarre back-and-forth.

Bridges asked Hawley, “So you believe that men cannot get pregnant?”

“No, I don’t think that men can get pregnant,” Hawley said.

“Then you are denying that trans people exist,” she said. “Thank you.”
