Biden To Hold “Private” Meeting With Putin

On Saturday, the White House announced that President Joe Biden would be holding a solo press conference after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin later this week.

“While we are still finalizing the format for the meeting with President Putin and his delegation, we can confirm a few details, including the plan for both a working session and a smaller session, as well as a solo press conference by President Biden following the meeting,” a White House official said.

The meeting between the prominent global leaders will occur on Wednesday and will most likely be closed to the press. Today, the President will travel to Brussels, Belgium, where he will participate in the NATO Summit to “affirm the United States’ commitment to NATO, Transatlantic security, and collective defense.”

“We expect this meeting to be candid and straightforward and a solo press conference is the appropriate format to clearly communicate with the free press the topics that were raised in the meeting—both in terms of areas where we may agree and in areas where we have significant concerns,” the White House official said.

Over the course of President Trump’s term, Biden was highly critical of Trump’s approach to dealing with Vladimir Putin, even going as far as calling him “Putin’s puppy” in the first presidential debate. In addition, Biden told ABC News he thought Russian President Vladimir Putin was a “killer.” Putin responded to Biden’s unwarranted remarks by challenging him to a live televised debate.

“I don’t want to put this off for long. I want to go the taiga this weekend to relax a little,” Putin reportedly said. “So we could do it tomorrow or Monday. We are ready at any time convenient for the American side.”

Of course, Biden immediately dropped the tough guy persona after his White House press secretary Jen Psaki sarcastically declined the offer, consequently tainting the representation of America as a legacy global power in the world’s point of view.

“I’ll have to get back to you if that is something we’re entertaining. I would say that the President already had a conversation with President Putin,” Psaki said

However, his previous quirks did not stop legacy media’s efforts to portray the 78-year-old Dixiecrat as a tough man, as Time Magazine featured a picture of Biden wearing aviators with Putin in the reflections of lenses. The headline appeared “Biden takes on Putin.” However, it seems the President intends on doing the complete opposite.

White House officials have announced that Biden plans to speak with Putin on crucial issues concerning arms control:

  • Russia’s ambitions in Eastern Europe
  • Cyber-security and Russian criminals allegedly behind recent ransomware attacks on American companies and infrastructure
  • Sanctions
  • The health of imprisoned Russian dissent leader Alexei Navalny
  • More subjects concerning our relationship with Russia

During a solo press conference Saturday, the Biden administration made claims that the meeting would embark on a new kind of relationship between the two countries, saying, “We expect this meeting to be candid and straightforward and a solo press conference is the appropriate format to clearly communicate with the free press the topics that were raised in the meeting—both in terms of areas where we may agree and in areas where we have significant concerns,” the White House official said according to Fox News.

Despite mainstream media reports, President Biden’s trip to the G-7 summit demonstrated that the Biden administration had taken extreme precautions due to his significant decline. U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson to correct Biden during the G-7 summit after Biden incorrectly suggested Johnson had not introduced South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Furthermore, this demonstrates that the era of political theater is coming to an end as more Americans become aware of the truth.
