CEO Mugged at Gunpoint in San Francisco

Last month, Hamid Moghadam was robbed at gunpoint in front of his $15 million dollar home in San Francisco. Moghadam is the CEO of Prologis. Prologis is the world’s largest industrial real estate firm.

Moghadam noted he was robbed by two men in the Pacific Heights neighborhood. The altercation lasted only 30 seconds. Moghadam stated, “They were attacking me. It happened so fast that I didn’t have time to get scared. During the attack, he fell and injured his back and knee.”

The robbers stole Moghadam’s Patek Philippe watch. That brand’s watches retail anywhere from $12,000 to $2 million.

Moghadam was so frustrated, that he wrote to San Francisco’s Mayor Breed, Governor Gavin Newsom, and the city’s board of supervisors to complain about the high crime levels and soft on crime policies. He stated, “I would say, right this second, San Francisco is probably the most dysfunctional city in America.”

He also hinted that more businesses will flee the city if changes are not implemented. His corporation has an office in Denver. He insisted on keeping the San Francisco branch as well, but said, “ Today, I am not sure I would make the same decision.”
