Democrats Attack Whistleblower Watching Out For El Paso, Texas Taxpayers

TTR recently covered a story where El Paso, Texas City Councilwoman Claudia Rodriguez blew the whistle on Mayor Oscar Leeser’s reportedly bowing to pressure from the Biden regime not to declare a state of emergency over uncontrolled illegal immigration into El Paso.

According to the New York Post, “Councilwoman Claudia Rodriguez exposed the scandal by speaking to The Post about her private conversations with the mayor, a Democrat, in which he admitted he’d been following orders from the top, but it has made her a target of the El Paso County Democratic Party.”

The Democrat Party, as taken over by socialists/Marxists, has a reputation for not following laws, as in not enforcing federal immigration laws, so why should they follow traditions or rules?

Proving this, the El Paso Democrat Party (EPDP) “took the unprecedented step of weighing in on a forthcoming nonpartisan local election to ask voters not to vote for Rodriquez, who is up for re-election.”

The Democrats obviously want to punish Rodriguez for making Joe Biden look bad because that’s all that matters to them. They’re disregarding the councilwoman saying she’s looking out for El Paso taxpayers, which appears to be valid.

Rodriquez told the Post, “I don’t get it. I stood up for the people of El Paso when the mayor didn’t. I was saying, ‘El Pasoans don’t want to be spending their money on this. They’re already overtaxed.’”

Rodriguez said, “We essentially loaned $8 million to the federal government, interest-free, and that’s what I was fighting for.”

The EPDP statement read: “VOTER ALERT: City Rep. Claudia L. Rodriguez has a record and values inconsistent with her district.”

More accurately, it appears Rodriguez’s record and values are inconsistent with the Democrat Party: The Party of bullies.
