Department of Defense Allegedly Knew about the Kabul Airport Bomber

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Roger Pardo-Maurer told Univision that the Department of Defense knew who the bomber was who killed 13 U.S. service members in the bombing at the gates of the Kabul airport.

According to a video translation by Newsbusters, Pardo-Maurer said, “What is being said by people who were involved is that the Department of Defense already knew who the bomber was, and when (the Kabul attack would happen).”

The answer was in response to Univision reporter Satcha Pretto referring to Joe Biden’s legacy. “When we’re talking about 13 service members losing their lives over the past few days in addition to the 2400 over the past 20 years. What legacy does he leave behind after this chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan?”

The former Dept SecDef said, “We can’t even talk about a legacy. These are events that are still just now becoming news.”

Pardo-Maurer, who is also a former Army Green Beret, said that not only did the DoD have prior knowledge of the attack and the perpetrator who would carry out the bombing, but that a Predator drone had a lock on the terrorist and the DoD “refused to grant permission to fire upon that bomber.”

“So, what is the legacy?” Pardo-Maurer asked the host. He said, “It’s too soon to talk about that, but it is total chaos, poorly managed.”

Pardo-Maurer said that he is still working on getting people out after Biden left Americans stranded, promising “it’s going to get done.”

“Somehow, something is going to get established which people are already talking about an Underground Railroad, inspired by the original Underground Railroad with which fugitive slaves were removed from the South prior to the Civil War. So, this is by no means over. We’re not even halfway there,” promised Pardo-Maurer.

Bari Weiss opened her substack to one of the organizers of the Underground Railroad, Melissa Chen. Weiss notes that Chen is the co-founder of Ideas Beyond Borders. This organization takes books like Orwell’s 1984 and translates them into Arabic in dangerous countries like Egypt, Syria, and Iraq.

In her piece, Melissa Chen writes that the Underground Railroad is “a ragtag group” made up of “combat veterans, human rights officials, intelligence agents, members of Congress, non-profit organizers, and private individuals with the resources to charter planes and helicopters – who have stepped into the vacuum left by the Biden administration.”

The same decisions from Biden that abandoned the 13 service members to die outside the gates of the Kabul airport are the same ones that find hundreds of Americans and thousands of Afghanistan translators trapped behind Taliban rule.
