Ron DeSantis is the only thing in the Federal Government’s way from turning into the complete totalitarian authority in the name of the pandemic. Objectively, Ron DeSantis is the only governor who has fully protected his people from all overreach from the federal government.
Without him, we would have never opened back up, masks would have never gone away, and vaccine passports would be commonplace. And that is why the White House has come out in full swing against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
WH Press Sec. Jen Psaki when asked about Florida and Texas governors:
“If you’re not going to be part of the solution, if you’re not going to be part of saving people’s lives, then get out of the way and let other people do the job.” pic.twitter.com/UmlZyNldHw

In Jen Psaki’s August 2 press conference, she called Florida out, claiming that “Twenty percent of the cases we’re seeing are in Florida.”
She said, “There are steps and precautions that can be taken, including encouraging people to get vaccinated, encouraging people to wear masks, including allowing schools to mandate masks, and allowing kids to wear masks, which is not the current state of play in Florida.”
Joe Biden doubled down the next day on August 3, attacking all Republican governors who have made it more challenging for the federal government to take complete control over people’s health decisions.
“I say to these governors – Please help,” Biden said. “But if you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way.” He accused Republican governors of blocking people who are “trying to do the right thing.” Instead of making it harder for the Biden administration to force healthy Americans to get the vaccine, Biden wants the governors to “use [their] power to save lives.”
Later on, in Biden’s press conference, a reporter asked him about Gov. DeSantis’ protection of Floridians Biden said DeSantis’ “decisions are not good for [his] constituents.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis didn’t let a moment go to waste before he hit back at the White House for their attacks. In his press conference today, he addresses the criticism directly, saying, “Joe Biden suggests that if you don’t do lockdown policies, then you ‘should get out of the way.’ Well, let me tell you this if you’re coming after the rights of parents in Florida, I’m standing in your way. I’m not going to let you get away with it.”
“If you’re trying to deny kids a proper in-person education. I’m going to stand in your way, and I am going to stand up for the kids in Florida,” continued Gov. DeSantis.
The rebuke from the Florida Governor didn’t stop there. “If you are trying to restrict people, impose mandates, if you are trying to ruin their jobs and their livelihoods and their small business; if you are trying to lock people down, I am standing in your way. I am standing for the people of Florida.”
"Joe Biden suggests that if you don't do lockdown policies, then you should get out of the way. Well, let me tell you this… If you're trying to lock people down, I am standing in your way. And I am standing FOR the people of Florida."

Ron DeSantis is showing what a leader should be doing in a time of crisis. Conservatives have begged the leaders in the GOP to stand up and do something. DeSantis does. Time after time.
Before exiting the podium, Gov. DeSantis’ last words let the Biden Administration know precisely what they could do with their hypocritical attacks. He said, “Why don’t you do your job? Why don’t you get this border secure, and until you do that, I don’t want to hear a blip about Covid from you.”
