Despite What the Internet says about Joe Rogan, Ivermectin is Safe for Humans

Joe Rogan recently had to put his money where his mouth is, so to speak, when the comedian and podcaster announced that he had COVID.

In a video on his Instagram, Rogan reveals that not only did he contract the virus, but it had also already been three days since he began treatment. Rogan shared how he started not to feel well about five days before he made the video and isolated himself from his family.

“I got back from the road Saturday night feeling very weary; I had a headache. And I just felt, just run down. And just to be cautious, I separated from my family, slept in a different part of the house.”

He said he experienced a fever and sweats all night, adding, “I knew what was going on.” In the morning, he headed to get tested, and the results were positive for coronavirus.

“We immediately threw the kitchen sink at it. All kinds of meds, monoclonal antibodies, Ivermectin, z-pak, prednisone, everything. I also got a NAID drip and a vitamin drip, and I did that three days in a row. And so, here we are on Wednesday, and I feel great! I really only had one bad day. Sunday sucked, but Monday was better. Tuesday felt better than Monday, and today I feel good. I actually feel pretty f****n’ good,” he explained.

“A wonderful heartfelt thank you to modern medicine for pulling me out of this so quickly and easily, and my love to all of you, thank you, bye,” closing his announcement by blowing a kiss.

It’s no surprise that he chose a different route than the vaccinated, famed boxer Oscar De La Hoya, who recently checked into the hospital after contracting the virus himself. The internet is having a heyday not only with Rogan’s ability to combat the virus but by comparing the two men whose choices are polarizing.

De La Hoya posted a video on Friday — the same day Rogan posted his now negative test results — lamenting about his present situation, “I mean, what are the chances of me getting COVID? I’ve been taking care of myself. This really, really kicked my a**.”

As of the publishing date of this article, Rogan is back to his usual shenanigans of podcasting, eating elk, archery, and playing with his gorilla kettlebells. No word from De La Hoya yet.

Rogan has been previously criticized for his views on handling the virus; his use of Ivermectin has the internet and authorities reeling alike.

Being touted as a “horse-dewormer” on mainstream media, with warnings all over social media posts that it could cause harm, the medicine is one of noble roots and has been used in humans with wild success.

In fact, Ivermectin was actually awarded the Nobel Prize in October of 2015 for its astonishing results and is FDA approved for human use, just not for the treatment of coronavirus.

Does that mean it’s not effective against coronavirus? Not necessarily as the FDA itself links to a study that shows Ivermectin could be a possible solution.

Mainstream media would have you believing that Ivermectin could be worse than the virus when they post hit-pieces to scare the public from using it. They also fail to mention that Ivermectin is routinely given to immigrants safely upon entry to the United States.

According to a study published June 21, 2021, on the U.S. National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health’s website, “Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using Ivermectin. Using Ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that Ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.”

Very appealing data backed the conclusion, “Low-certainty evidence found that ivermectin prophylaxis reduced COVID-19 infection by an average 86% (95% confidence interval 79%–91%).”

One study, of course, isn’t enough to establish an accurate baseline.

However, this review looked at 18 different studies and decided that ultimately the results point to Ivermectin as an effective solution to decrease morbidity and mortality.

“Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of Ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of Ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified,” the report revealed.
