Disney Responds To Document Leak

Riiver Nihil

Tensions heightened as Disney responded to leaked documents revealing their new employee training program, “Reimagine Tomorrow.”

The Tatum Report released an article earlier today covering the details of the document leak.

Disney has bombarded their employees with what they claim is a move towards antiracism but appears to aim the racism towards their white employees. Employees are now part of a 21-day program that begins with a “white privilege” checklist of 97 things that indicate one is privileged.

An original article, written by Christopher Rufo, was published by the City Journal and included a full copy of the documents for readers to view themselves.

Disney has responded vaguely and did not provide any details as to what was false. They did, however, skirt responsibility by releasing a “These internal documents are being deliberately distorted” statement.

Rufo posted their response in a tweet for all to see, stating that, “Disney has released a statement claiming that my reporting ‘distorted’ their antiracism program. This is false. I published direct quotations, contextual screenshots, and the original source documents in their entirety.

Disney is distorting the truth—and I won’t stand for it.”

Though they claim inclusivity, Rufo goes on to tweet a few examples that are in direct opposition to what Disney claims. Rufo says, “The Magic Kingdom is a house of lies.”

Rufo has challenged Disney executive leadership to complete the “white privilege” checklist, release it publicly and see how they fair out. Rufo says, “Otherwise, they’re fake antiracists, using buzzwords to deflect attention from their moral transgressions.”

While this article was being written, Disney updated their internal portal and removed the entire antiracist program from their platform, at least for the next 72 hours, according to a screenshot tweeted by Rufo.
