Disney Suffers Hefty Financial Loss Amid Partisan Scandal

In March 2021, Disney “stock hit an all-time high…,” according to Jack Phillips at The Epoch Times, “trading at $200 per share.” As of April 22, 2022, Disney’s stock price has tumbled to $119 per share.

The tone-deaf or simply impudent CEO, Bob Chapek, has ensnared himself in an unnecessary political tangle, was initially more prudent, remaining neutral, regarding Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill. The law would prohibit public schools from teaching sexually explicit lessons to kindergarten through third-grade students.

Instead, Chapek chose to yank Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy into partisan politics. Bizarrely, against traditional family values and common sense. The things that have kept parents spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to bring their adoring kids to Disney Parks for over half a century.

People are wondering why Disney would so vigorously endorse teaching five to eight-year-olds materials the FCC bans on broadcast TV? Now, Disney’s incursion into radical leftist politics is costing the company massive public relations, political, and financial losses.

According to the Washington Examiner, “Disney has lost $50 billion in value since [the] war with Florida began.”

On This is My Show with Drew Berquist, the Florida-based host said, “After Disney slammed Governor DeSantis over the bill that they like to call ‘the don’t say gay bill…,’” Florida is fighting back.

Berquist explained, “This week they [Florida] did something new that targets Disney World… the biggest tourist attraction in the state….” They’re working to pass legislation “that would end all independent special districts in the state that were formed before 1968….” Pointedly, Disney’s special district was formed in 1967.

Back then, “The state gave Disney total control of 40 square miles….” Berquist added. “They gave them all this land and then basically allowed them to skirt the rules with it.”

In March, Gov. DeSantis said, “When you have companies that have made a fortune off being family-friendly and catering to families and young kids, they should understand that parents of young kids do not want this injected into their kid’s kindergarten classroom.”

Meanwhile, prominent leftists, including Joe Biden, continue promoting the lie the Florida parental rights bill says, “don’t say gay.” It doesn’t.
