Elon Musk let the world know he voted Republican for the first time in Texas’s 34th congressional district. Musk voted for Congresswoman Mayra Flores, the first Mexican-born congresswoman to serve in the House. Flores flipped the seat to Republican after it had been held by Democrats for over 100 years. Musk predicted her victory would create a “Massive red wave in 2022.”
A Twitter user asked Musk if he would continue to vote Republican for the 2024 presidential election. Musk replied, “TBD.” He did say that he liked Andrew Yang, but that he was leaning toward DeSantis. He said, “DeSantis has a better chance of winning.”
Governor DeSantis has not yet confirmed if he will be running for president. Musk has toyed with the idea of supporting some political candidates in the future. He wrote:
“I’m thinking of creating a ‘Super Moderate Super PAC’ that supports candidates with centrist views from all parties.”
