Employees in Oklahoma Will Be Able to Sue Employers for Adverse Effects From Forced Vaccinations

On Friday, State Sen. Rob Standridge (R-OK) introduced Senate Bill 1106. This bill, called Citizen Health Mandate Protection Act, will allow government and private employees to sue their employers over health problems resulting from forced medical operations.

The bill states, “If an employee is harmed by a forced medical operation, the employer could be liable for as much as $1 million.” An employee can take their employer to court for actual and punitive damages for injuries or illness due to a vaccine or medical treatment program.

The bill is intended to protect employees from an employer forcing them to receive a Covid-19 vaccine as a condition of employment.

Standridge said in a statement:

“Many Oklahomans may not know that COVID-19 vaccines have already been given liability protection from the federal government. If an employee is required to receive the vaccine or some other medical treatment as a condition of employment and it causes that person harm, our citizens need to know they’ll have some recourse that will provide them with meaningful relief. That’s what my legislation will do.”

Standridge’s bill will be considered in February 2022.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has stayed president Biden’s current vaccine order. The court ruled, “The challenges “give cause to believe there are grave statutory and constitutional issues with the Mandate.”

Kansas Democrat Governor Laura Kelly also came out against the vaccine mandate.
