Emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop, detailed on Loomered.com, show the Bidens’ intimate relationship with Facebook and its executives. The correspondences evident on the laptop span back to 2010 when Joe Biden was Vice President under Barack Obama.
In an October 2010 email to Arlene Busch and Eric Schwerin, Hunter Biden discusses his budding relationship with Chris Kelly, Facebook’s Chief Privacy Officer, first General Counsel, and Head of Global Public Policy.
Hunter described Chris Kelly as “Mark Zuckerberg’s closet adviser and was the first person, outside of programmers, Facebook hired.” Hunter writes, “… I brought Chris Kelly to lunch. We can talk in more detail tomorrow about [the] meeting, but just to be clear – Chris is worth about $350M.”
Hunter said that Kelly is “more tied into Silicon Valley money” than anyone the Biden son had met before and that Kelly “is looking for places to put his money.”
“[Chris Kelly] just spent $10M of his own money on race for AG in Dem primary without blinking,” Hunter said. Later emails suggesting the AG he spent $10 million on might be Kamala Harris.
In a 2012 email thread, with the subject: Chris Kelly, Eric Schwerin to Beau and Hunter Biden to discuss Hunter writing an email inviting Chris Kelly to a fundraising party for Beau. The idea was to handle some of the Silicon Valley connections off to Beau.
Eric connects the THEN California AG Kamala Harris to her possible mega-donor Chris Kelly, writing, “Any complications vis a vis Kamala Harris? I assume they are all good?”
In a separate 2012 exchange between Chris Kelly and Hunter Biden, the emails allude to the nature of the pairs’ relationship. “Hey Hunter,” Kelly writes, “I’m coming to do a small event with your dad next Tuesday.” Kelly tells Hunter Biden that he has time to meet before or after meeting with his father, the Vice President.
According to federal regulation 5 CFR 2635.702 regarding the use of public office for private gain, “An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations.”
Hunter Biden’s relationship with Facebook via Kelly was enough to get extraordinary power to request accounts become de-platformed. In 2010 Hunter received an email from a separate high-ranking executive within Facebook, Adam Conner, after Hunter emailed Kelly demanding Facebook remove certain accounts that created issues for the Biden family business.
“Hi Mr. Biden, Chris Kelly forwarded me your message about a Facebook profile that you’re trying to get shut down,” inquired Adam Conner. Biden told Conner that he “will get info to [him] ASAP.”
Just two days later, Adam Conner responds to Hunter, writing, “Mr. Biden, We have removed the fake profile. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Best, Adam Conner Facebook DC.”
