Fauci Says Email Link Is Being “Taken Out Of Context”

Fauci was making the rounds on the media last night and today. He seems to be attempting to save an ounce of his credibility after the bombshell release of his emails. The growing criticism of Fauci’s need for the spotlight came to a head when it was announced yesterday that Fauci’s new book “Expect the Unexpected: Ten lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward” was pulled from pre-order shelves. MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace gained the first interview with Dr. Fauci last night. But, unfortunately, the discussion lacked the teeth that most Americans wanted after discovering that Anthony Fauci was willing to tell the American people one thing while knowing it to be false.

Wallace claimed that Fauci was kept from the public during the Trump administration, and that was the possible reason for him changing his story so many times. She equated the flip-flopping on Dr. Fauci needing to “make up time.”

Although Wallace could cite one email where Fauci seems displeased with the idea he won’t be at the press conference four days in a row, more emails prove the Trump administration never muzzled Dr. Fauci. In one email, Dr. Fauci wrote to Mark Jay Schlomchik, saying, “I have been very explicit in stating publicly that I am not being muzzled or censored. I say exactly what I want to say based on scientific evidence. I have stated this on multiple TV programs over the past few days, including at a major press conference with many, many reporters present, including several TV cameras. I could not possibly be more public about this.”

Fauci exclaimed, “No censor. No muzzle. Free to speak out.”

In a different email to Bob Franken, Dr. Fauci writes, “Thanks for the note. I hope that all I well with you. I have never been given orders to get approval from the VPs people to speak publicly about coronavirus.” Fauci explains that as long as he has been working for the Executive Branch since the Reagan administration, he must get approval to speak on TV. “I have always gotten clearance with very few exceptions over the past 35 years,” he said. He said the majority of the time, those “exceptions” stem from the WH not wanting “you on TV at the same time that the President is making an important announcement.”

MSNBC’s Deadline asked Dr. Fauci about the validity of the lab leak theory seemingly proved in his work emails. Dr. Fauci said, “There is no doubt that there are people out there who, for one reason or another, resent me for what I did in the last administration, which was not anything that was anti-Trump at all.”

Fauci’s defense against the accusations that he funded the research that leads to a pandemic responsible for decimating countless lives and livelihoods was that people “resent” him. He claimed he was simply “trying to get the right information, to try and get the right data.” Then Fauci takes a shot at the intelligence of his critics, saying, “What they didn’t seem to understand, I guess that it is understandable that they didn’t understand it, is that science is a dynamic process.”

The Daily Mail reported Dr. Fauci also went on TheDonlon Report claiming, “The only trouble is they are really ripe to be taken out of context where someone can snip out a sentence in an email without showing the other emails and say, ‘based on an email from Dr. Fauci, he said such and such’ where you don’t really have the full context.”
