Fauci Says Indoor Masking May Fade While Many Still Question His Ties To Covid-19

The so-called “father” of the pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has announced that it may finally be time to ease the indoor mask mandates that have been implemented for over a year now.

Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s official infectious disease expert, said Sunday that people might decide to wear face masks “during certain seasons” after the coronavirus pandemic has ended to help avoid spreading or contracting respiratory illnesses like the flu.

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Fauci pointed out how fast Americans have grown accustomed to wearing masks and how the implementation of the mask mandate has helped stem other viruses, such as the flu.

“We’ve had practically a nonexistent flu season this year merely because people were doing the kinds of public health things that were directed predominantly against Covid-19,” Fauci said.

With reports coming in at far lower levels than the world has seen in decades, it seems that Flu has mysteriously disappeared from the US. Flu infection rates have drastically decreased during this year’s season, with only one registered death, compared with dozens in past years. According to Just the News, the cumulative positive influenza test rate from late September into the week of December 19th was just 0.2%, compared to 8.7% from a year before.

Also, in another glorified media interview, Fauci told ABC News’ “This Week” that he was open to “more liberal” guidelines for indoor mask requirements as more people get vaccinated.

“As you get more people vaccinated, the number of cases per day will absolutely go down,” he said. “We’re averaging about 43,000 (new case) a day. We’ve got to get it much, much lower than that. When that gets lower, the risk of any infection indoor or outdoor diminishes dramatically.”

This statement from Anthony Fauci comes on the heels of the CDC’s latest announcement that the federal government stated that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask in most outdoor settings. After another recent change in guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) earlier last week, this statement was issued.

Early March, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced he would end the state’s mask mandate, allowing most businesses to operate at 100 percent capacity. Since then, the other states that have followed include Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, all states where covid restrictions range from limited to nonexistent.

At the time, the state governments were criticized for ending mask mandates too soon, which was said to be “neanderthal thinking” by President Joe Biden and would lead to unwarranted deaths. Yet, in recent months, those predictions proved to be embarrassingly flawed. Furthermore, many of the states with the highest numbers in COVID cases and the highest number of overall deaths have been liberal states with some of the stricter lockdown policies.

As more news develops, calls for the White House medical advisor Anthony Fauci to be investigated concerning his links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of the coronavirus have risen.

On Monday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson explained to the viewers that Fauci allowed the pandemic to happen by ‘exploiting a loophole that allowed him to fund research at the Wuhan Lab that likely became COVID-19’.

“Millions of people have died of COVID-19, so it’s not a matter of score-settling or blame-assignment to figure out where it came from. If you want to prevent the next global pandemic, you have to figure out how this one started,” Carlson added, noting, “This wouldn’t have happened if Tony Fauci didn’t allow it to happen. That is clear.”

The Fox News anchor, like several Americans, are not the only people questioning the origin of COVID-19. In an op-Ed article written by James Freeman of the WSJ, Freeman questions Dr. Fauci’s role in the development of the Wuhan lab and the knowledge he had of the virus before 2020.

Although official investigations have not been made, the lack of transparency from the White House, Dr. Fauci, the CDC, and WHO on the origin of COVID-19 has led to massive global resistance. As more critical facts are discovered about COVID-19, it’s evident that the mainstream media and government are struggling to control the narrative on COVID.
