This morning, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that his devoted wife, Casey DeSantis, was diagnosed with breast cancer. “I am saddened to report that Florida’s esteemed First Lady and my beloved wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer,” Gov. DeSantis’ statement said.

The Florida GOP shared Gov. DeSantis’ statement showing its support for Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis. “Our beloved First Lady Casey DeSantis is a fighter and a champion. We stand with the millions of Floridians who are praying for her and the First Family,” said the Florida GOP.
Ron and Casey have three young children, Madison (4), Mason (3), and Mamie (18 months). In his statement, Gov. DeSantis called his wife the “centerpiece of [their] family” and highlighted the “impact” she has made as First Lady on the lives of countless Floridians.
“As she faces the most difficult test of her life, she will not only have my unwavering support but the support of our entire family, as well as the prayers and well wishes from Floridians across our state,” said Gov. DeSantis. “Casey is a true fighter, and she will never, never, never give up.”
