Gov. Kathy Hochul Blunders into an Honest Answer

How best to describe New York Gov. Kathy Hochul? Unlikeable and unelected. Although, she’s governing as if she has a mandate.

Her Highness is miffed the U.S. Supreme Court dared to issue a ruling she doesn’t like, remaining true to the Constitution’s original intent.

But, aside from unlikeable and unelected, Hochul is something else, too. She is, as popular national radio hosts Brandon Tatum and Dan Bongino like to say, a “grifter.” In fact, since she left Congress, she’s shifted her politics radically left.

Whether on guns or abortion, Hochul is now a leftist radical. But, according to WSHU NPR, just a decade ago the NRA gave her an A-rating. Today, her views on gun/self-defense rights are atrocious—and stupid.

The Washington Examiner reported, “Hochul is outraged that the Supreme Court struck down New York’s ability to withhold concealed carry permits from qualified citizens unless they convinced the government they had a ‘proper cause’ for acquiring one.”

Hochul disparaged the Court for overturning a New York law that has been infringing on the Second Amendment for over a century. Hochul’s angry opposition is senseless. She seems to believe law-abiding gun owners are the people committing crimes or that guns can shoot themselves.

Now, she’s proposing new laws that would do an end-run around the Court. She can’t stop people from getting CCWs, so she wants to restrict CCW access to “sensitive locations.” She wisecracked CCW holders could probably carry “on a few streets.” Hochul views law-abiding gun owners as if they and armed criminals are the same.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams worries about “Wild West shootouts.”

That’s happening now!

As The Daily Wire reported, CCW “holders are the most law-abiding people in the country.” Hochul’s and Adams’ objections are… well, stupid.

As recently mentioned at TTR, KTTH Radio host Bryan Suits recently played a clip of Hochul, stumbling into honesty. When a reporter asked her, “Do you have any numbers to show that it’s the concealed carry permit holders that are committing crimes…?”

Smarmy as always, Hochul dismissed the question, answering, “I don’t need to have numbers… to have sensible gun safety laws.”
