Ilhan Omar Removed from Committee, and the Oscar Goes to... The Squad

More often than not, the infernally abrasive U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) comes off as a spoiled brat and ingrate. Though this observation is admittedly disrespectful, what about the America hater is there to respect? She owes this country so much but doesn’t seem to know it.

Now, she gets tossed off the influential Foreign Relations Committee after making repeated antisemitic comments but blames racism despite another black Democrat being the committee’s ranking member.

According to National Review, “The House of Representatives voted Thursday to remove… Omar… from the Foreign Affairs Committee over her history of making antisemitic remarks. Omar has made several antisemitic comments throughout her career. Before entering public office, in 2012, Omar tweeted that ‘Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.’”

Omar also made antisemitic comments after being elected and coated her “apology” with the disingenuous comment she didn’t know about anti-Jewish “tropes” like “hypnotized” and “Jews and money.”

The Washington Examiner reported, “McCarthy previously removed Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) unilaterally from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, citing Schiff’s handling of the investigations into former President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia and Swalwell’s relationship with an alleged Chinese spy. Schiff and Swalwell have repeatedly insisted they did nothing wrong.”

But it’s the Oscar-worthy performances of “The Squad” that people will remember. The Daily Mail described it accurately when they reported, “The Squad melts down….”

For example, AOC literally bounced during her tirade over fellow Squad member Omar’s well-deserved sacking, reflexively accusing the new Republican majority of—of course—”racism, misogyny, and xenophobia.”

But, even more, representative of a “meld down” was Rashid Tlaib, who was hysterical, as she “half sobbed and half screamed before her microphone was cut off.”

The hypocritical Squad conveniently “forget” about the Democrat leadership infamously rejecting conservative GOP members for the Jan. 6th kangaroo committee in favor of anti-Trump Republicans who’d voted for his impeachment. Those two former representatives, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinsinger are no longer in Congress.
