Just before Christmas, armed suspects carjacked and shot at Democrat Illinois Senate Majority Leader Kimberly Lightford. Her husband, Eric McKennie, returned fire. According to Practical Chicago, McKennie has a concealed carry permit.
CWB Chicago reported, Lightford, who “championed the state’s criminal justice reform omnibus legislation in January,” and McKennie, were in their Mercedes SUV in Broadview, a Chicago suburb when the incident occurred. Reportedly, “One of the hijackers fired multiple gunshots at McKennie, but he was not injured.”
Chicago CBS Local reported Lightford said, “I begged them not to shoot us, and I begged them not to shoot my husband, not to shoot me.” She instructed them to take whatever they desired and described that they took everything valuable. When offered the car, her husband gave them the keys.
Lightford said McKennie told her to run. She said she didn’t want to, but she did so “reluctantly.” She felt they were going to “shoot [her] down.” She said McKennie returned fire “after the carjackers started shooting.”
The liberal Democrat stated:
“I think they were shooting at my husband and me, and lucky enough my husband is conceal and carry, and he was able to protect us.”
She and McKennie were on their way to deliver Christmas gifts for a “toy giveaway.”
It is worth noting that after the harrowing incident, Lightford went to Walmart to buy more toys.
Lightford concluded, “the carjacking served as a reminder that something like that can happen to anyone.” Police have reported no arrests, though they recovered the stolen SUV in Chicago’s South Side neighborhood.
Meanwhile, a similar incident occurred just a few hours earlier in Philadelphia. Democrat politician, U.S. Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA), was also carjacked at gunpoint.
Lightford, Scanlon have both been outspoken on police reform. Both politicians have co-sponsored bills to replace police officers with social workers to respond to “some incidents.”

Scanlon tweeted after George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, “We have seen too many lives taken and communities devastated by police brutality and racial profiling.”
Police quickly located Scanlon’s car, only hours later in Delaware, occupied by five suspects. Police took them all into custody.

Voting for Demoncrats, you may as well be voting for an elite racist dictator that believes they know better than anyone else as to how people should live, think, believe and who should be the slaves of the working class. These people are such elite hypocrites! They want to defund and reform (AKA Abolish) the police, they want gun control and confiscation for law abiding citizens. They are against and want to abolish conceal carry. They want to list the NRA and their members as terrorists, imprison them and abolish the NRA.
Yet it is perfectly within their right to carry a weapon. These are the people that think that they should have weapons because they are the only ones that know how to use them and know gun safety. Yet they are the ones that are the most likely to be like Alec Baldwin, have no idea how to handle a gun and are the most unsafe with one. They are also most likely to have that weapon taken and used against them or stolen from their home.
These are the poster children for the definition of Hypocrisy!
Hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another or the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform. In moral psychology, it is the failure to follow one’s own expressed moral rules and principles.

I’m surprised that the Elite Chicago mayor Lori Stinkfoot didn’t have both of them arrested for for being some kind of racist and removing their Black society memberships for the husband using his legal CCW firearm. It is reported the Kimberly Lightford supports the right of law abiding citizens to carry concealed a handgun. If that is true, then she stands in stark contrast against Lori Stinkfoot who wants to band all weapons. I’m also surprised that Stinkfoot doesn’t consider Kimberly Lightford a terrorist for supporting CCW’s.
