Intel Official Knew Biden Laptop Real, Doesn’t Regret Signing “Disinfo” Letter

Lt. Gen. Thomas Bostick, Deputy Director of the DIA Douglas Wise, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper

Former DIA Deputy Director Douglas Wise was one of the 51 top Intel officials who signed onto a lie to discredit the New York Post’s exposé on the laptop Hunter Biden left at a repair shop, which the owner turned over to the FBI.

According to the New York Post, Wise, “who signed on to a letter attacking The Post’s bombshell 2020 reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation has now admitted he knew a ‘significant portion’ of the recovered files ‘had to be real’ – but doesn’t regret dismissing the exposé,” which influenced the 2020 election against President Donald Trump.

Unsurprisingly, the ethically challenged Wise refused to speak with the Post, instead scurrying down under where “he spoke to The Australian.”

It’s dangerous to a free nation when officials bound to one political notion not only feel they are so right but that those who disagree are so wrong, they sever their moral and ethical responsibilities to the American experiment in individual liberty.

American Majority CEO Ned Ryun, in his book The Adversaries: A Story of Boston and Bunker Hill, focuses on Founding Father Dr. Joseph Warren, a Revolutionary War hero killed on Breeds Hill during the Battle of Bunker Hill. One thing Ryun makes clear about Warren and his fellow Sons of Liberty was their “obligation to do this… [fight for American liberty] for those to come.”

Officials like Wise, who conspired in a grand lie to influence an election in a free country, are leaving “those to come with,” rather than liberty, a legacy of lies.

And even though he says he has no regrets, Wise downplayed the letter he said only pointed out the laptop had “the earmarks of Russian deceit…” which was only “a possibility.” And that “it was just a cautionary letter.”

However, the letter Wise signed unequivocally stated, it is “[o]ur view that the Russians are involved in the Hunter Biden email issue… and concluded, ‘It is high time that Russia stops interfering in our democracy.”
