Is the “Little Elf’s” Pedestal Disintegrating Under His Feet?

The “Little Elf,” FL Gov. Ron DeSantis’ affectionate nickname for Dr. Anthony Fauci, seems appropriate as the CCP virus guru’s stature further diminishes with each new revelation of his reported scheming.

According to Katie Pavlich at Townhall, “Testifying on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning, former Centers for Disease Control Director Robert Redfield was asked about the benefits of dangerous gain-of-function research — the frankensteining of viruses to make them more lethal or infectious to humans. When asked if he could point to a single pandemic gain-of-function research had prevented, Redfield couldn’t give an example and instead pinned the latest pandemic on the practice.”

When Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) asked Dr. Redfield, “Has gain-of-function stopped a pandemic in your opinion?”

Dr. Redfield answered, “No, on the contrary, I think it probably caused the greatest pandemic our world has seen.”

CSPAN tweeted, “Former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield: ‘Based on my initial analysis of the data, I came to believe and I still believe today that it indicates that COVID-19 more likely was the result of an accidental lab leak than a result of a natural spillover event.’”

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air wrote, “It was a cover-up from the beginning, and the media colluded in it every step of the way. The only question now is what kind of accountability can be applied, and whether we have stopped playing with GOF entirely at this point.”

Apparently, Joe Biden also supported Fauci’s shenanigans despite his former boss, President Barack Obama, having been so concerned, according to Science.com, he suspended GOF research in 2014.

Morrissey noted two years ago that Dr. Redfield told CNN host Sanjay Gupta about “his conclusion the pandemic started as a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology…” due to partially U.S.-funded gain-of-function research.

Dr. Redfield also said Dr. Fauci conducted important meetings without his knowledge. Dr. Redfield emphasized he was kept out of Fauci’s loop despite his being CDC director and a virologist.

Many Americans wonder why the Biden regime so vehemently denies a possible lab leak. Could it be that protecting China is the same thing as protecting Biden?
