Joe Biden Agrees to U.N. Climate Extortion, Wants U.S. to Pay Reparations

The Constitution gives the power of the “purse strings” to the House of Representatives. But you’d never know it the way Joe Biden relishes spending Americans’ hard-earned money. Paying off portions of some Americans’ student loan debts was bad enough, but at least they’re Americans.

According to the Daily Mail, “Joe Biden now says the US will sign up for a UN-backed fund to pay reparations to developing countries worst-affected by climate change.”

Time to ask again why the Democrats’ most “critical” issues always seek to reduce your freedom and confiscate and misspend your money. Weird coincidence, right?

The DM reported, “The creation of the fund was announced Saturday. It was negotiated at the United Nations COP27 Summit in Egypt, was originally known as a ‘loss and damage’ fund and had been blocked by previous American administrations.”

But Joe Biden believes it’s a wonderful idea to waste more of America’s wealth.

The odd thing about this massive wealth transfer is one of the world’s richest nations, China, is exempted from contributing to the fund. Also, considered a “developing nation,” does this mean some of this fund will go to one of “the world’s biggest polluter[s],” Communist China?

U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the COP27 summit in Egypt.

And if you still don’t think the GOP winning the House was an enormous consequence of the last election, “The president also faces having his plans stymied by the GOP-majority house, which would have to approve any funding.”

The DM explains the reason for the resistance of the U.S. and other western nations in previously signing on to this extortion. “Rich countries, including the United States and those in Europe, have for decades resisted the idea of a so-called loss and damage fund for fear it would open them up to legal liability for their historic greenhouse gas emissions.”

But rather than fearing such litigation, Americans must wonder if the Biden regime is counting on it.
