Following a mass exodus of American children from public education enrollment, a recent Gallup poll surveyed overall confidence in the system’s ability at its second lowest figure on record.
The poll found that only 28% of Americans claim to have a “great deal” of confidence in the public education system, with stark contrast noted across party lines.
According to the survey, 43% of Democrats remain confident in the system, compared to a mere 14% of Republicans. 29% of Independents hold confidence, yet collective confidence across all parties has dropped since 2020.
The survey states that Democrats are down five points from 48% in 2020, Independents are down nine points from 38%, and Republicans are down 20 points from 34%.
The results are in: Americans are tired of the government’s efforts to override parental roles and raise their children.
