Nate Sylvester Fired After Going Viral In Lebron James Roast

The mayor of Bellevue, Ned Burns, confirmed that Deputy Nate Sylvester had been fired for “multiple policy violations.” “The statements made do NOT represent the Bellevue Marshal’s Office. The Bellevue Marshall’s Office always demands that our deputies engage with our citizens in a friendly and professional manner,” Mayor Burns said. “We wish Mr. Sylvester the best, and we ask for calm and understanding,” he told the press.

Former Deputy Sylvester had a successful Tik Tok account that he used to bring common sense back to the narrative surrounding law enforcement. Sylvester took to his social media channel to call out Lebron James after threatening the officer who saved a woman’s life by shooting Ma’Khia Bryant. Lebron tweeted a photo of the Ohio officer promising “Accountability.”

Sylvester’s Tik Tok bit showed him in uniform pretending to call Lebron James and ask for advice on how to handle a fictitious disturbance call between two black men where one is wielding a knife.

“During the week of May 20th, while on shift Deputy Marshal Sylvester violated several clearly established City of Bellevue and State of Idaho Policing policies.”

The mayor claimed that “because of his continued policy violations, the Marshal has terminated Mr. Sylvester effective May 27th, 2021.” He claimed that “the policy violations have nothing to do with the tone or the tenor of this speech that he posts online.” Mayor Burns said Sylvester “was not terminated for the content of his speech; he was terminated for this failure to follow clearly laid out and well-established policy.”

The mayor claims that he didn’t influence the Marshal’s decision to fire Nate Sylvester, but he said, “the City Council and I respect the way the Marshal runs her department, and we are supportive of the decision.”

The community doesn’t seem to support the Marshal’s decision with the same veracity as the mayor and City Council. One Twitter user said, “Marshal Deputy Nate Sylvester, you are my hero. I’m sad you were fired by Mayor Ned Burns.” She said that “no one likes that jerk,” Lebron James, calling him a “complete racist a**hole.”

“You will go on to do great things while Lebron will fall to the bottom of the pit of failed humans,” she said of Sylvester.

Nate Sylvester’s GoFundMe account, which he is using to give to multiple charities as well as start a fund for displaced officers, put an update saying:

Officially, for “violating several clearly established City of Bellevue and state of Idaho policing policies.

Unofficially, as I stated originally, Bellevue mayor Ned Burns has been gunning for Nate’s termination since his Lebron James TikTok went viral. We have heard through the grapevine this is coming down the pipes, it was only a matter of time, and they were just looking for a reason to terminate him.”

The update asked people to “please share this GoFundMe on your social media and make this information go viral.”

The GoFundMe website redacted the email accounts for the mayor and city council members responsible for “supporting the Marshal’s decision; I fixed it. Also, I added the Marshal’s and Mayor’s email addresses.  Mayor Ned Burns 208-721-0203  [email protected]
