New Rassmussen Poll Claims Democrats Also Believe 2020 Election Was Not Secure

Recent polling released by Rasmussen shows that it’s not just Republicans who believe that the 2020 election has serious issues. The independent electronic media company, which says it specializes in the “collection and publication of public opinion,” asked participants to answer: “How likely is it that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election?”

Rasmussen said their “likely voter” poll basis weighting for every one hundred participants was 38 Democrats, 36 Republicans, and 26 Independents. The results showed that 51% of all voters believe that it is “very or somewhat likely” that the 2020 election was wrought with fraud, even with the Democrats having a two-point advantage going into the questions.

This is an upward trend from last week when Rasmussen reported that their survey “found that 41 % of voters still don’t believe that Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election fairly.” The question was asked during a survey concerning the Arizona audit of the over 2 million ballots from Maricopa County. The report stated that it “finds that 55% of likely U.S. voters support forensic audits of election results to ensure there was no vote fraud.”

The report states that “in the new survey, Democrats (56%) are more likely than Republicans (47%) or unaffiliated voters (38%) to believe that expressing doubt about the outcome of elections undermines democracy in America,” but that “younger voters are more supportive than their elders of auditing election results.”

In the interest of the identity politics that drives political discord in America, Rasmussen broke its voter data for the recent release into specific categories showing that Democrats and Black voters show an uptick in fear concerning the legitimacy of the 2020 election.

Rasmussen asked the same participants to determine which is more critical: “Making it easier for everybody to vote, or making sure there is no cheating in elections?” 60% of all like U.S. voters said that it was more important to make sure there is no cheating in our elections- 83% of Republicans, 36% of Democrats, and 63% of Unaffiliated.

“How likely is it that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election?” 49% of black participants, 56% of other non-white participants, 30% of Democrats, and 51 % of unaffiliated voters said it was “very or somewhat likely” the 2020 election resulted from cheating. The most interesting point to be seen is that most voters consider it “very” likely that the outcome was tainted.
