On Tuesday night, violence broke out in Los Angeles among abortion rights protestors. According to Fox News, “Protestors lobbed rocks and bottles at Los Angeles police officers and appeared to smash a Department of Homeland Security cruiser’s window, sparking a citywide tactical alert.”
A protestor was caught on video spraying graffiti on a Federal Protective Services vehicle. The FPS vehicle is the police division of the Department of Homeland Security.
There were reportedly hundreds of protestors in the street after the leak of the supreme court draft that alleged the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The chaos of bottle-throwing left one officer injured. The city issued a tactical alert by the police department after the officer’s injury. One disturbing video showed protestors throwing a scooter at an officer who was attempting to arrest an individual. The person who threw the scooter was not taken into custody.
