A grant request to the federal government has revealed that the University of Pittsburgh has been targeting aborted minority babies in order to harvest their organs.
And the federal government gave them at least $2.7 million in taxpayer money to do so.
According to internal documents released on Tuesday, the University of Pittsburgh has been making specific requests for unborn baby organs, specifically kidneys. This includes babies who have reached full term in the womb.
The grant proposal highlights the institution’s experience with fetal organs such as the brain, heart, kidneys, liver, heart, legs, and bladders.
They would like to conduct their own research and begin providing organs to other institutions for experimentation. They tout their efforts as virtuous and explicitly stressed the importance of maintaining blood flow to the organs.
The University of Pittsburgh wants its “specimens” to have a “warm ischemic time” — a medical term used to describe the time that an organ is without blood flow.
By asking doctors to illegally preserve organs during labor-induced abortions, they are violating federal law, which prohibits one from requesting how fetuses should be aborted.
“There’s the distinct possibility that some of these babies are born alive, and then their organs and tissues are removed,” vice president and research director of the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute, Dr. David Prentice, told the Free Beacon. “This is horrific—almost medieval. It is certainly antiquated science.”
The documents revealed that the university was requesting specifics when it came not only to the organ but from which ethnicities the organs should be harvested.
They insisted that at least half the organs need to be minorities but that 25% of the total amount of organs must come from black women.
A spokesperson for the university claimed that “projects funded by the National Institutes of Health must ensure appropriate inclusion of women and minorities.”
They said that researchers played no role in the “timing, method, or procedures used to terminate the pregnancy.”
The University of Pittsburgh has been harvesting tissue with the oversight from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since at least 2015 when it claimed to be a “tissue hub.”
Babies that are harvested for their organs range from 6 to 42 weeks — meaning a full-term baby is being deprived of its life, and no one involved sees a problem.
Many babies are able to survive outside of the womb as early as 22-24 weeks, given proper medical attention. A baby is considered full term, able to survive on its own outside the womb, around 36-37 weeks.
Through a public records request, David Daleiden, founder and president of the pro-life Center for Medical Progress, obtained over 300 pages of program information. He has since called for a federal investigation of NIH and the University of Pittsburgh.
The documents were released after 17 months of waiting but not before attorneys got involved to ensure they did.
“We keep getting this pushback that ‘Oh, it’s not illegal,’ but it’s all done behind closed doors with redactions,” said Meredith Di Liberto, the lead attorney on the case. “If this is all legit, why did we have to fight so hard to get a document, and when we get them, they’re redacted? Why did we have to go to court to see who’s paying for this?”
She also stated that further information about the program is required to find definitive proof of illegal behavior, though the University of Pittsburgh has been involved with research of fetal organs for decades.
Most recently, in 2020, it conducted an experiment that implanted the scalps of aborted fetuses onto lab mice.
Who was the study funded by?
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, run by Dr. Anthony Fauci. He’s not the only one with his hands in multiple pots, either.
As it turns out, the director of family planning at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Beatrice Chen, also serves as the medical director for Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania.
Planned Parenthood has long been accused of harvesting and selling organs of aborted babies, going so far as to cover up potential sex trafficking in order to secure the abortion.
At least 15 different facilities were willing to cover up child sexual abuse and child sex trafficking.
Congress held a meeting on July 21, 2015, to address the significant amount of federal funding that went to Planned Parenthood after it was found that they had been facilitating secret abortions.
“Mr. Speaker, in 2011, an undercover videotape sting operation by Live Action exposed several Planned Parenthood affiliates who are eager, ready, and willing to facilitate secret abortions for child sex trafficking victims–some as young or younger than 14–to get them on the streets again,” said Representative Chris Smith of New Jersey during the meeting.
In a hidden video captured by the Center for Medical Progress, Dr. Deborah Nucatola explained, “We have been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I am not going to crush that part. I am going to basically crush below, I am going to crush above, and I am going to see if I can get it all intact.”
She speaks as if the babies were inanimate objects, devoid of life. She’s proud of her ability to murder a baby with precision.
Dr. Nucatola is the senior director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s medical services and a late-term abortionist.
It was also revealed that for the three years prior, the organization had received $1.2 billion in funding from Medicaid and at least $500 million in taxpayer dollars each year.
The congressional record revealed that 41% of their total revenue is taxpayer dollars, with Planned Parenthood receiving $1.5 billion from 2011 to 2012.
In 2019, an employee for Planned Parenthood unknowingly revealed to The Center for Medical Progress that they refer their patients to tissue banks, and their “university” patients are referred back to the University of Pittsburgh.
According to the CDC, there were 619,591 abortions performed in 2018, with 6,196 of those occurring at 21 weeks or later.
Nearly 6,200 children had a fighting chance at life, and instead, they were likely harvested like livestock.
