Reports Say the FBI has Little Evidence that Jan. 6 was a Coordinated Attack

The FBI has finally released information that confirms what many of us already knew to be true: January 6 was NOT a coordinated attack by the people.

The 570 arrests made in conjunction with the event on January 6 had nothing to do with a centralized effort but instead that 570+ people were simply on the same page in making an individual effort.

Not everyone present at the Capitol that day had nefarious plans; some just wanted to be present in what they knew would be a day for the history books, A.K.A “tourists.”

Still, many “tourists” are amongst the 570 arrested.

According to four current and former law enforcement officials, there was no plot to overturn election results.

There is little evidence that violence was a coordinated effort by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump.

“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” explained a former senior law enforcement official. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”

Sources say that FBI investigators found evidence of some coordinated plans to break into the Capitol by protestors, including followers of the far-right Oath Keepers and Proud Boys groups. It seems that was the extent of their plans, as no evidence was found regarding what they would’ve done if they had made it inside.

Many wanted to believe that President Donald Trump had more than a personal investment in the day’s events.

That day, officers who were on duty even attempted to paint Trump as the villain when they testified at the first congressional committee hearing convened to uncover the truth.

As previously reported, there has been speculation that the FBI itself was involved in organizing and executing the siege.

Perhaps this is their way of feigning ignorance and pointing fingers elsewhere, but it reveals some truths about who didn’t do it.

Only 40 people have been charged with conspiracy and planning an attack in advance. This accounts for about 7% of those who were arrested. The conspiracy charges acknowledged that the entire plan was simply the attack on the Capitol and nothing more.

Another 170 people have been charged with assaulting or impeding a police officer, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years.

Prosecutors have not pursued the heavier charges that are usually associated with the belief of a coordinated effort, nor have they pressed charges alleging that any individual or group played a central role in organizing or leading the riot.

Though it was discussed by senior Justice Department officials in the weeks immediately after, there likely hasn’t been any recent discussion of “seditious conspiracy” (accusing defendants of trying to overthrow the government) nor racketeering charges, which are typically made against organized criminal gangs.

Perhaps the congressional committee will now be forced to look at facts instead of allowing their witnesses to get emotional and falsely point fingers with no evidence.
