A large package was reportedly delivered to Sen. Rand Paul’s home on Monday, sparking investigations by the FBI and Capitol Hill police. The report said, “A large envelope arrived at the senator’s home in Kentucky and is currently being examined for harmful substances. The sender is unknown.” However, the envelope did contain a white powder that is being tested.
I take these threats immensely seriously. As a repeated target of violence, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to encourage violence against me and my family. https://t.co/e1rQ6uwPdf

Sen. Paul tweeted a link to the Politico report saying, “I take these threats immensely seriously. As a repeated target of violence, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to encourage violence against me and my family.”
Richard Marx threatened Sen. Paul on Twitter on May 23, saying, “I’ll say it again: If I ever meet Rand Paul’s neighbor, I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume.”
Rand Paul was viciously attacked by his neighbor, Rene Boucher, back in November 2017 while cutting the grass on his riding lawnmower. Sen. Paul’s injuries included six broken ribs, with three fractures being displaced. In addition, he has permanent damage in his lungs from fluid and blood build-up and recurrent pneumonia.
Sen. Paul sued Rene Boucher and was awarded $580,000 in damages – $375,000 in punitive damages and $200,000 for pain and suffering; the rest paid for his medical expenses. Rene Boucher was also sentenced to 30 days in federal prison for assaulting Sen. Paul.
Sen. Paul and his wife were attacked by a BLM and Antifa mob waiting to harass Trump supporters leaving the White House in August 2020. Paul wrote about the experience, saying that as they were “attempting to leave the White House event” hosted by President Trump, “it became apparent there was no safe exit out the gates and through the unruly mob that gathered there.”
He blamed Mayor Bowser and many other Democrats in charge of D.C. for refusing to allow the Secret Service the authority to protect those leaving the event. He said that the events taking place around our country and the one he found himself in that August night are happening because the Democrats excuse terrorism as protests.
Fox News reported more details about the suspicious package left at Sen. Paul’s home on Monday. It stated, “On the outside of the envelope was a picture of a bruised and bandaged Paul with a gun to his head and a threat printed beneath it: “I’ll finish what your neighbor started you motherf*****.”
The FBI spoke to the outlet admitting to “working with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Capitol Police by providing forensic and technical assistance.” Nevertheless, Sen. Paul believes the latest attack against him and his family is proof that the lack of accountability for the inflammatory rhetoric coming from the Democrat party is putting him and other Republicans in harm’s way.
Last August, he asks this of Democrats: “Who are these people? Who paid for their hotel rooms? Who flew them in? Law enforcement needs to look at the funding of violent criminal activity like this. And national Democrats need to confront it. It’s organized. It’s paid for. It’s violent. It’s not about Black lives or any lives; it’s about anarchy and destruction. The American people are starting to catch on and grow tired of it.”
He never received an answer from the Democrats.
