Suspect Shoots Man In Front Of Two Children

Just released NYPD News video captured a horrific act of evil. In broad daylight, on a busy street in the Bronx, near 1551 Sheridan Ave., a masked suspect chases and then shoots a man on a sidewalk. The crime was particularly monstrous because two little girls were entangled with the victim as the suspect shot him.

The suspect, dressed in black, his head and face covered by a mask, shoots the man, first in the back and then multiple times in the legs. The suspect is firing his gun within inches of the flailing children. In the video, it’s difficult to determine if the victim is attempting to protect the children or shield himself behind them. Further investigation will likely clarify this aspect.

At one point, the older girl pulls the younger child into her to protect her. The video also shows what appears to be a woman several paces behind the suspect, carrying a folded stroller. She’s quickly walking toward the victim and two children before ducking into a doorway to avoid the gunfire. It is unknown if the woman is with the children or if she and they are associated with the victim.

This is just another in a long list of recent violent crimes committed on New York City streets by criminals likely encouraged by the anti-law and order legislation and policies put into effect by government officials at the city and state levels. In addition, many cite the apparent contempt for police officers Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio have repeatedly demonstrated by their irresponsible anti-cop, pro-criminal actions.

FOX 5 News reported, “The NYPD says the shooter jumped onto a scooter being driven by another man and then sped off from the scene.” The man on the scooter can be seen on the video sitting in traffic just before the shooting. He appears to be a male, wearing a white hat, maroon shirt, and dark, striped shorts. He can also be seen in the video speeding ahead in traffic to pick up the suspect after the shooting.

Police said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital, where he is listed as stable. There were no reports that either the children or any bystanders were injured.

At the time of this report, the suspect has not been identified. NYPD detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects. Call @NYPDTips at #800577TIPS with info.
