“TAKE A SEAT”: Harris Faulkner Scolds Marie Harf [VIDEO]

FNCs’ Harris Faulkner called out a fellow panelist during a segment when discussing President Donald Trump’s surprise news conference.

The “Outnumbered” co-host scolded Marie Harf in an exchange following the airing of Trump’s brief remarks from the White House on Tuesday. Faulkner told Harf to “take a seat” after she criticized the president for refusing to answer a barrage of questions from reporters who covered the short briefing.

Harf accused Trump of “hiding in the basement” after “Outnumbered” carried the live remarks on Tuesday.

The president, who was accompanied by Vice President Mike Pence, spoke for just under one minute on the stock market and the coronavirus vaccine before he thanked everyone and left the briefing room. Reporters shouted questions after him to no avail.

“You know, Marie, when you look at this, you cannot deny the impact of a very positive movement. I don’t call it a story, I call it a movement of decisions, Operation Warp Speed,” Faulkner said as the panel returned after the briefing.

“And I wonder why more Democrats are not — you have on this program, but more in leadership — are not giving it the credit that it deserves. For one thing, President-Elect Joe Biden would have to inherit that,” she continued. “Is this something that Biden and others need to say, ‘Yeah, we acknowledge this, it’s fantastic, we’ll keep it in place?’ People are concerned. What’s going to happen next?”

“Well, the Biden team only today, because they are officially allowed to start their transition, will get all of the details about Operation Warp Speed,” Harf, who once served as a communications advisor to former Secretary of State John Kerry, responded.

“Democrats have been talking about that positively for weeks. I think everyone is very grateful for all the work that is being done on this vaccine. I would also say that there are analysts looking at the stock market. Again, this is the first full day that the Biden team will be able to start transitioning,” the liberal commentator added before going off on Trump.

“And why is Donald Trump not taking questions? He’s the one hiding in the basement now. He hasn’t taken reporter questions since the week of the election,” Harf declared, apparently referring to criticism leveled at Biden for months during the campaign. “Why isn’t he answering anyone’s questions?”

“As a woman whose team contacts Joe Biden’s office on a daily basis for the last couple of years, please take a seat — take several seats — on that!” Faulkner fired back, shutting down Harf and moving on to another panelist.
