The Taliban has given Joe Biden and America until August 31 to rescue the thousands of Americans trapped in Kabul after the Taliban successfully overthrew the Afghan government.
The world has criticized Joe Biden’s Afghan pullout. But one of the loudest voices is Donald Trump. Trump Administration officials have made it clear that Joe Biden ignored their plan to leave Afghanistan, which is the cause of the thousands of Americans being held hostage in Kabul.
In July, Joe Biden addressed the American people on his administration’s plan to leave Afghanistan. He said we would meet his April plan to withdraw by September 2021 by August 31.
During the speech, Joe Biden admitted to “conducting the drawdown differently,” claiming that this has ensured that “no[t] one U.S. forces or any forces have been lost” exiting the country.
However, shortly after this speech Taliban made quick work taking back territory after territory. The world watched as the Taliban conquered land that took Americans 20 years of blood, sweat, tears, and money to secure.
After the Taliban took Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital city, Americans living there became targets of the cruel terrorist regime. Biden and his administration said that if Americans, green card holders, and our allies want to get out, they should travel to the Kabul airport to be flown out.
The Taliban seized the opportunity to beat and stop people disloyal to their terrorist regime from entering the airport. Tens of thousands of people were seen flooding the perimeter of Kabul airport, attempting to escape.
The American mainstream media began pushing back against the Biden Administration’s narrative, which claimed Biden’s Afghan withdrawal was beyond reproach. Reports coming out of Kabul were terrifying.
The brutality of the Taliban terrorist regime was back. Women who worked in government, the police department, and even athletes were taken, beaten, and sometimes killed for their participation.
Biden spoke to the American people on Sunday, August 22, who said that his administration’s priority is to get as many Americans as they can safely out of Kabul.
“The evacuation of thousands of people from Kabul is going to be hard and painful,” promised Biden. He claimed that no matter how he had scheduled the pullout of American citizens, there would have been images of children being thrown over the wall at Kabul’s airport.
While taking questions from the reporter for the AP, Biden admitted that his disastrous withdrawal would take longer than the original August 31 deadline. “There are discussions going on among us and the military about extending,” said Biden. He admitted that his administration would see where they are “in the process” before giving a final deadline.
The brutal terrorist of the Taliban disapproves of Biden’s plan to extend American presence in Afghanistan. A Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen told Sky News that Americans shouldn’t extend the August 31 withdrawal.
He said, “It’s a red line. President Biden announced that on August 31, they would withdraw all their military forces. So, if they extend it, that means they are extending occupation while there is no need for that.”
Shaheen said that if the Biden Administration “were to seek additional time to continue evacuations – the answer is no. Or there would be consequences. It will create mistrust between us. If they are intent on continuing the occupation, it will provoke a reaction.”
Today in a press conference, Zabihullah Mujahid instructed the United States that all American evacuations must be done by the 31st. He also stated that American evacuation efforts are not to include Afghan nationals.
