I’ve occasionally written about the right to be left alone, including in 2008 and a decade later in 2018. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis, a liberal, famously declared, “The makers of the Constitution conferred the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by all civilized men—the right to be let alone.”
Even supporters of the various mask and mRNA injection mandates acknowledge government is not leaving Americans alone—they just don’t care. In the 2008 article, I focused on the Islamo-Nazi multiple terrorist massacres in Mumbai, India. As devastating as such attacks are, they are still essentially people, not leaving other people alone.
The 2018 Opslens.com article was a bit more expansive but no less emphatic about the right to be left alone. In that piece, I note a cop’s job would be unnecessary if people respected the right to be left alone.
I wrote, “But the liberals of today have no interest in letting people alone,” and “They protest traditional America, prevent conservatives from speaking, assault people wearing MAGA hats, [and] damage cars [displaying] Trump stickers.” Basically, not leaving people alone.
This brings me to an article I stumbled upon at GenZConservative.com, “Men Who Wanted to Be Left Alone.”
Gen Z has a muscular take on the issue. They basically stress the essence of Japanese Navy Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto’s remark after attacking Pearl Harbor. “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”
They also include this unattributed quote, “The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone.’ They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.
“They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.
They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone’ are forced to fight back, it is a small form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be….
“Which is why, when forced to take up violence [which I pray never happens], these ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone,’ fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.”
There’s a bit more, but you get the gist.
Too much? Maybe. But the left refuses to acknowledge tyranny’s effect on liberty-loving Americans who simply want to be left alone. But when radical leftists remove the peaceful means for political change through censorship, lack of election integrity, and ignoring the Constitution, they will leave people with few options.
One is surrender, and one is not to surrender. Then, if violence follows, a leftist government will attempt to use force to put down what they created. And there’s the formula. They’ve already pretended it happened on Jan. 6th. Just imagine how they’d respond to actual non-leftist violence.
If the government continues with the gaslighting to incrementally increase the tyranny, how could this possibly end well for Americans who love liberty? Take Tony Fauci (please). He doesn’t deny they are infringing on our liberty; he just believes the government has a good reason to do it. After all, he is science, and he knows better than you what’s good for you and yours.
Fauci recently said, “Sometimes if you don’t come to the realization that it’s good for yourself, for your family, and the communal good, then mandates or requirements become necessary.” In other words, I’m right; you’re wrong; shut up! Roll up your sleeve.
“Communal?” Hey, he chose a word that has the same root as communism. Weird.

Well put – and I agree. But I think we need to divide the leftists into two groups – the small minority of self-appointed elites who run the show, and the vast majority of “useful idiots” (thanks, Joe Stalin, for that term!) who are led to believe what the elites tell them (i.e. – persistent propaganda).
We also need to realize the goal of the elites to to recreate the royalty/serf dual-class system that pervaded humanity for millennia before capitalism, then seeding the violence and self-destructive behaviors they push is the means to an end.
In other words, they have a very well thought out long-term plan to crush everyone outside their, again, self appointed circle of royalty, to the level of serfdom.. The funny thing is that so many mid-level useful idiots (e.g. – politicians like governors and mayors who push mandates, etc.) will be caught aghast when they discover, should the evil leftist plot come to fruition, that they too are consigned to serfdom.
Unless those of us who want to be left alone are prodded enough to take action…
