The Inspector-General Mark Lee Greenblatt from the U.S. Department of the Interior released a statement yesterday dispelling yet another lie that plagued the Trump Administration heading into the 2020 election.
During the Antifa/BLM riots that saw Washington D.C. burn for weeks, President Trump walked from the White House to historic St. John’s Church in what was meant to be a show of strength. Instead, Trump held his family bible and stood in front of the church that was still hot from being set ablaze by the violent riots the night before, and the media mocked him.
The left took the pictures of Trump holding his bible upside down and created the narrative that it was a photo-op. Media personalities looked into the tv and explained to their viewers that their “anonymous” sources were sure that the White House ordered tear gas and violent tactics to move “protestors” away from the “photo-op.”
Inspector Greenblatt released that report addressing the actions of the U.S. Park Police (USPP) on June 1, 2020, when they moved protestors out of Lafayette Park. The report said the investigation focused on “when and how the USPP, in coordination with its law enforcement partners, made the decision to clear the park, and how it developed and executed its plan to do so.”
The left-wing media covered the topic for hours. They made millions of dollars pushing the false narrative that Donald Trump made the order to move the protestors back to complete a vanity photo-op. Americans used to love it when their President showed signs of strength during troubled times. I, for one, appreciated seeing my President hold the holy bible above his head in front of one of America’s oldest churches. It conveyed an understanding that our Christian way of life was figuratively and literally under attack. President Trump was one of the few last protectors of our religious freedoms.
From the report:
“This report presents a thorough, independent examination of that evidence to assess the USPP’s decision making and operations, including a detailed timeline of relevant actions and an analysis of whether the USPP’s actions complied with governing policies. The evidence we reviewed showed that the USPP cleared the park to allow a contractor to safely install antiscale fencing in response to destruction of Federal property and injury to officers that occurred on May 30 and May 31. Moreover, the evidence established that relevant USPP officials had made those decisions and had begun implementing the operational plan several hours before they knew of a potential Presidential visit to the park, which occurred later that day. As such, we determined that the evidence did not support a finding that the USPP cleared the park on June 1, 2020, so that then President Trump could enter the park.”
The report concluded that the media lied about President Trump. That trending subjects written by left-wing social media companies lied about Trump. The protestors were not moved back to make room for President Trump, but instead, they were driven back to allow a contractor to come in and install new fencing. The rioting became so violent that the perimeter of the White House needed extra security fencing to protect it.

President Trump responded to the news in a statement saying that he has “been totally exonerated by the Inspector General in the clearing of Lafayette Park, despite earlier reports that it was done for political purposes.”
He is, of course, referring to this gem from Joe Biden last year when he accused the Preside of “using the American military against the American people. He tear-gassed peaceful protesters and fired rubber bullets. For a photo. For our children, for the very soul of our country, we must defeat him. But I mean it when I say this: we can only do it together.”

Mainstream media (MSM) is still holding on strong to the lie they helped push with their bias towards Presiden Trump, saying, “it raises more questions than it answers.”
