Vice President Harris Championed for the Bail Fund that Freed a Man who Committed Murder

Kamala Harris infamously gave and supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund responsible for bailing out Antifa and Black Lives Matter domestic terrorists who destroyed cities in the 2020 summer of the George Floyd riots. In fact, the tweet calling for donations is still live. She wrote, “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”

The bail fund is notorious for bailing out violent criminals last summer. Still, it has seldom been heard from until recently when a Fox News report detailed Kamala Harris’ connection with the release of a perpetrator of domestic abuse now accused of murder.

George Howard was released after the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) used the money Harris and other prominent Democrats helped raise to pay an $11,500 bond. Howard was arrested in connection to an August 6 domestic assault case.

The report indicated that while George Howard was out on bond for domestic abuse, he “became involved in a road rage altercation on an Interstate 94 entrance ramp before he shot another driver.” Law enforcement used video evidence to identify George Howard as the shooter in the August 6 road rage murder.

According to an internet archive of the Minnesota Freedom Fund’s Twitter account, the fund took responsibility for bailing out George Howard. He has now been charged with two counts of second-degree murder for shooting Luis Damian Martinez Ortiz in the chest.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund wrote on Twitter, “We are aware of reports of the tragic and fatal shooting in Minneapolis earlier this week allegedly involving George Howard, an individual the Minnesota Freedom Fund had previously provided with bail support.”

“MFF believes that every individual who has been arrested by the law enforcement is innocent until proven guilty, and if a judge deems them eligible for bail, they should not have to wait in jail simply because they don’t have the same income or access to resources as others.”

The group’s now-hidden statement continued in subsequent tweets saying, “Under new leadership, MFF has implemented changes to its policies and procedures, and we will continue to assess them to ensure that we are being responsive to the safety and needs of our community.”

After backlash for not recognizing George Howard’s alleged murder victim, the MFF was forced to revise its statement saying, “The killing of Luis Martinez Oritz is an undeniable loss and tragedy for the entire community. We have heard from you, and we have revised this statement because our previous statement did not acknowledge this deep loss, and for that, we apologize.”

The fund states that it will stay “steadfast” in its mission to bail out people in need.
