Psaki Caught in Awkward Moment as Disastrous Jobs Report is Confirmed Live on Air

A genuinely awkward yet comical moment was captured live on MSNBC.

Jen Psaki was a guest on “Morning Joe” Friday morning when the official jobs report came through. Mika Brzezinski gave the news live on air.

“Jobs numbers just crossed. 210 jobs just added…so…”

With only 210,000 jobs added to the total, the host commented that the number “feels a little off.”

Psaki did what she does best: deflected.

“Well, I know this sounds a little archaic, but I can’t comment on them until 9:30, by rules, because I work at the White House,” Psaki said in response to the information.

She continued:

“What I will say is people can expect the president to continue to say, today, month to month, is that what we’re seeing are good trends, that we are continuing to put people back to work, that we are continuing to see participation in the workforce, that we are continuing to see the unemployment rate go down, but there’s more we need to do to address core problems that have existed long before the pandemic.”

Since Psaki claimed she could not comment until later, the hosts turned their attention to Democratic strategist Adrienne Elrod to discuss the steps needed for Democrats to take to “own” the economy.
