Southern Fast Food Joint Will Give Customers Gas Cards

Southern fried chicken restaurant Bojangles committed to giving out $1 million in gas cards. The fast-food chain is giving $10 gas cards to any customer who purchases a family meal. They intend to help people amid the skyrocketing prices.

The company issued a statement announcing its offer:

“Beginning today until supplies run out, every purchase of a Bojangles Family Meal – featuring 12 or 20 pieces of bone-in chicken, plus scratch-made biscuits, choice of home-style fixins, and Legendary Iced Tea® – will come with a $10 gas gift card.”

To redeem the card, customers can purchase the meal in-store, at the drive-thru, or via the app.

The company saw an opportunity to help its community after gas prices reached their highest levels on record in March 2022. The company reiterated that this is the first time the fast-food chain is giving away such a large amount of money. All of the franchisees are supporting and participating in the giveaway.

Bojangles stated, “We don’t want anyone to have to choose between enjoying a delicious meal with the family or buying gas, so let Bojangles help with both.”

AAA reported that the national average for gas peaked at $4.331 per gallon on March 11. It currently sits at $4.189 per gallon.
