Derelict Manhattan DA Joins Leftist NYC Peers Watching Staff Bolt from His Office

It’s happened all over the country in cities like Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. It’s happening in New York City, too. Assistant prosecutors are being fired or resigning because their non-prosecuting bosses won’t let them do their jobs.

FOX News reported, “Hundreds of prosecutors in New York City are quitting the district attorneys’ offices amid controversial criminal justice reforms.”

Sixty-five assistant prosecutors have walked out the door on derelict DA, Alvin Bragg. He’s chased good prosecutors out of his Manhattan office by “ordering prosecutors…” to ignore the law when prosecuting criminals.

Upon entering office, Bragg instructed his prosecutors “not to seek prison sentences for a number of crimes and to downgrade charges—including for robberies and commercial burglaries.”

But, as bad as some NYC prosecutors are, including in Brooklyn and the Bronx, Jazz Shaw at Hot Air reports, “Not all of the departing prosecutors are solely blaming the woke DAs, however. They are casting blame on the state government’s legislature also. New criminal justice ‘reform’ laws require prosecutors to turn over reams of material to defense attorneys on a compressed schedule.” This can result in violent suspects being released from jail and provided with personal information about victims and witnesses, who suspects can then harass and intimidate.

In Brooklyn, the similarly defective DA Eric Gonzalez has bled 67 prosecutors, “with three more leaving last…” week, according to the New York Post. And in the Bronx, Darcel Clark has caused 59 prosecutors to skedaddle in just January through May of this year.

But the assistant prosecutors have no obligation to be even this magnanimous. Bragg, Gonzalez, and Clark likely support the Democrat-led legislature’s pro-criminal, anti-cop bilge. The so-called reform laws “recently resulted in a serial stabber from the Bloods street gang being released from jail yet again after attacking another victim. Other similar cases were cited by some of the departing DAs.”

There is no logical reason for these pro-criminal decisions unless the Democrat/Socialist DAs and legislators making them simply want chaos, so frustrated victims will eventually demand from them a resolution. Or the criminal justice system collapses. Either way, the leftist radicals believe they’ll be free to recreate “justice” in their own perverted image.
