Illinois Judge and Disney Employees Among 108 Arrested in Florida Human Trafficking Sting

On Wednesday, Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced the arrest of 108 people during a six-day undercover investigation of human trafficking, prostitution, and child predators.

Among those arrested during “Operation March Sadness 2” were four Disney employees and an Illinois judge.

Sheriff Grady Judd revealed that the judge is 66-year-old Daniel Peters who served in Cook County (4th Sub Circuit), Illinois. He was also a special assistant for legal affairs at the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

The Disney employees include a 24-year-old Orlando man who has worked at Disney for four years. His recent position was in the Cosmic Restaurant.

A lifeguard at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has also been named — Xavier Jackson, 27, from Kissimmee. He allegedly sent sexual images and graphic descriptions of “what he wanted to do” to an undercover detective who was posing as a 14-year-old girl. Jackson bragged about working as a lifeguard at the Disney resort, according to deputies.

Polk County investigators claimed they tracked down prostitutes who advertised themselves on the internet as well as “johns” who looked for prostitutes online. The operation, according to the sheriff’s office, “had the intent to identify and free any victims who were being forced into prostitution (human trafficking), or anyone participating in the trafficking of victims.”
