Iran State Media Reporter Baits U.S. Soccer Player Who Stunned World with Reply

Tyler Adams, Captain U.S. National Mens Soccer Team

Iran did something a terrorist state would do—even at soccer’s premier international event, the World Cup.

Through its reporter, Milad Javanmardy, Iran, as reported by The Western Journal, attempted to bait a U.S. athlete by citing a false equivalency, regarding human rights, during what is effectively a sports truce. But things didn’t turn out as planned for the tyrannical regime.

On a sad side note, the “Iranian state propaganda reporter” could have been saying what any American leftist media reporter might have said. Javanmardy first criticized American team captain Tyler Adams’ pronunciation of Iran (I-ran vs. E-ron).

Then, referencing a disgraced Democrat militia, BLM, he said, “Are you OK to be representing a country that has so much discrimination against black people in its own borders?”

After graciously apologizing for his mispronunciation, Adams eloquently explained to the Iranian reporter that racism exists everywhere. He said, “Growing up for me, I grew up in a white family, and with obviously an African-American heritage and background as well.”

Adams said he’s experienced other cultures and has assimilated very well. He also said he understands not everyone can do that. He believes it takes understanding through education about “different cultures.”

Adams said, “in the U.S. we’re continuing to make progress every single day.”

TWJ also reported Iran was miffed at the U.S. because it displayed the Iranian national flag without the Islamic Republic emblem in support of the Iranian protesters demonstrating for freedom in that brutal theocracy.

To demonstrate from what non-existent moral authority Iran speaks, according to the New York Post, “The Iranian government has reportedly threatened its national soccer team and the players’ families.”

The U.S. plays Iran on Tuesday. The winner of the match moves on, and the loser goes home. For the Iranian team, that prospect now holds dire implications.
