Hunter Biden’s investment firm, Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP), is featured in a new report which accuses the Chinese bio lab of weaponizing the virus and releasing it.
Natalie Winters, an investigative journalist for the National Pulse, uncovered that “an investment firm led by Hunter Biden, was a lead financial backer of Metabiota, a pandemic tracking and response firm that has partnered with Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
In the report, Winters links Metabiota to Rosemont Seneca through archived versions of the firm’s website. Metabioata, which calls itself the global pioneer in infectious disease risk solutions, claims the company provides “data, analytics, advice, and training to prepare for global health threats and mitigate their impacts.” Metabiota boasts that the World Economic Forum named the firm one of the 100 most promising Technology Pioneers of 2021.
“Since 2014, Metabiota has been a partner of EcoHealth Alliance as part of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) “PREDICT” project. The project seeks to “predict and prevent global emerging disease threats,” the report states. According to this, researchers – funded by Hunter Biden’s firm – “collaborated on a study relating to bat infectious diseases in China.”
Page 7 of EcoHealth Alliance’s Fiscal Year 2014 Annual Report says, “After scientists collect swabs or small amounts of blood, they analyze the samples in the lab to look for evidence of disease. The findings are catalogued [SIC] in a database, that mathematical experts use to create predictive maps of potential disease outbreaks. This approach not only allows researchers to find new diseases, but also helps communities prepare for and respond to the threat of an outbreak.”
The study writes, “Bats represent a massively diverse group of mammals, and as a group, they have been increasingly identified as natural reservoirs for virus families such as paramyxoviruses, coronaviruses, and retroviruses, that contain zoonotic members.” The study says that the lab’s research indicates that coronavirus, a bat-born virus, is “capable of infecting people through various routes of transmission.”
Hunter’s investment firm helped to raise $30 million in funds for Metabiota’s first round of funding. According to financial records in a 2015 newsletter, “Metabiota, the San Francisco, CA provider of disease outbreak detection solutions, raised $30 million in Series A funding led by Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners and included participation from 24 investors.”
The newsletter said that Metabiota’s goal was to use “pioneering effort to protect the world from the spread of epidemics.” The report connects not only Hunter Biden to Metabiota, but through that link, Biden is now financially backing Metabiota, Eco Health Alliance, and The Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Now that Joe Biden is back in Office, the report states that the USAID announced in April that it would collaborate on a “new initiative spearheaded by EcoHealth Alliance to track emerging infectious diseases with pandemic potential.”
