NYC Mayor Eric Adams Feeling Southern Border Mayors’ Illegal Immigration Pain

The disconnect is stunning. “Sanctuary city” champion Eric Adams, who opened his arms to illegal immigrants coming to New York City, has been savaged by the reality faced by his fellow mayors in U.S. cities along the Mexican border.

Immigrants crossing the open border into small cities with drastically fewer resources than New York have not been streaming into that city—until now. But rather than “new” Democrat voters, Adams now sees these people as worms in the Big Apple.

According to The Daily Wire, “Adams (D) is slamming Texas for sending busloads of illegal aliens to the Big Apple, claiming that the city is struggling to handle the influx of individuals. Sunday morning, Adams met the second busload of migrants arriving from the Lone Star State. The Democratic mayor — who ran for election with a promise to keep New York a ‘sanctuary city’ — blasted Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) for transporting the immigrants across the country to his city.”

The mayor expressed zero concern for the impact on Americans and legal immigrants.

Adams tweeted, “@GregAbbott_TX used innocent people as political pawns to manufacture a crisis. New Yorkers are stepping up to fix it — that’s our city’s values. But we need the federal government’s help—money, technical assistance and more.”

CBS News reported Adams made the following incredible statement in a tweet to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott: “Be a true American, man! I don’t think anything is more un-American than shipping people on buses for a 45-hour trip without any basic needs.”

That’s odd since Adams supports the Biden regime’s policy that encourages illegal immigrants-to travel over 1,000 miles from Central America to the U.S.-Mexican border.

“Without any basic needs?” Does anyone believe the illegal immigrants didn’t have bathroom facilities or food provided during the trip? Come on, man!

RNC Research also took to Twitter to call out Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. She accused Gov. Abbott of “‘using migrants as political pawns’ by busing illegal immigrants to cities.” This despite the Biden regime has been using planes instead of buses to fly “illegal immigrants to cities across the country for over a year.”
